How the work moves

Our work sits between strategy, design, and meaning-making. Whether we’re building a brand system, an illustration, or an editorial piece, we’re always doing the same thing:

helping complex ideas become clear, expressive, and alive without stripping them of their depth.

01Deep Listening

Everything starts with context. We do deep research and begin from questions, working closely with our clients to understand the ideas, tensions, and layers that sit beneath the surface. This often means slowing down and making room for uncertainty before reaching for form.

02Sense-Making

Our strength lies in translation. We’re particularly interested in ideas that are tangled, intricate, evolving, or hard to pin down, and in finding ways to express them without oversimplifying. That means bringing an incisive, precise lens to build pattern-based clarity across the most complex layers of the work.

03Authentic Crafting

Authenticity is just bringing everything you care about and are fascinated by into the room. We love art, of course, but we also love history, philosophy, symbolism, culture, practices, rituals. Our craft is a combination of all of that manifesting into design that opens something up in the people who encounter it. (We hope!).

Ways we work

Change is already in the room.

Here are the ways in:

Illustration · Collage · Editorial Art · Exhibition Pieces

Design that feels like art because it actually is.

Illustration, collage, and craft-led design that opens a portal to your world so people can feel it, not just understand it. We create the emotional connection that moves to act.

from the other side of the door

Working with WCI felt less like hiring a designer and more like finding a creative partner who understood what we were trying to build.

Client Name, Organization

The depth of thought behind every visual choice was something we hadn’t experienced before. It changed how we see our own brand.

Program Lead, Research Institute

They don’t just make things look good — they make them mean something.

Another Client, Foundation

What struck us was how WCI held the complexity of our work without trying to simplify it away.

Founder, Social Enterprise

WCI helped us find visual language for ideas we’d been struggling to communicate for years.
